Born and educated in Florence, Italy, in my professional career as an engineer I joined the University of Florence until my retirement in 2016. My professional interests have always been in the study of ecosystems and of their protection through sustainable engineering solutions.

Photography has been an important sideline for all my life, concentrating in wildlife and landscape subjects, but without forgetting the incredible boon of living in one of the most prestigious town in the world: Florence and its surrounding countryside, offering endless opportunities for breath-taking views and pictures.
